Kate and Jake
How did you meet?
Jake and I met when we were 10 years old, through family friends. We had grown up together seeing each other at local parties and family events. We didn’t start dating until we were both 21 and we hit it off at The Panthers at Penrith.
How did he propose?
We were on a cruise to Tangalooma Island. Jake waited for the ship to dock and for everyone to leave to go on the island. It was just us on the top deck overlooking the ocean and he gotdown on one knee. It was a great moment; one I will remember forever.
Describe the journey of finding your dream dress and your experience in The Sposa Group store.
I had no idea what style dress I wanted; I just knew I wanted something with 3D flowers. When I stepped into Sposa, I felt an instant feeling of being comfortable. All the ladies were so lovely, welcoming and warm. Adel was my stylist and she was amazing. She had so much patience, helped me try on every style, every shade and every neckline until I found the perfect dress. She made something I was nervous about feel so easy. Thankyou Adel!!
What made you fall in love with your wedding dress?
My wedding dress made me feel pretty and something my 5-year-old self would have loved as well asmy 25-year-old self. I loved how I felt in it and it made me feel really confident the second I tried it on.
What advice would you give to the future brides looking for a wedding dress?
I would say to not go in with a certain style in mind and then shut yourself off to trying new things. Don’t have an expectation and don’t compare yourself to any other bride. Try on every style andevery shade of white. Enjoy every moment!
Describe your wedding
Our Wedding Day was the best day of our lives. We had so much fun and it was so nice to have something that you plan and think about turn out exactly how you wanted it to. The funniest moment was entering our venue and everyone just embraced us and hit the dance floor instantly.
Saying your wedding vows is by far the most memorable but having everyone you know in one room was really special & something we were so thankful for. To have everyone be there and supporting Jake and I was an amazing feeling.
How did you feel wearing your wedding dress?
I felt like a princess & I never second guessed my choice!
What was the best moment of the night?
My favourite moment was seeing Jake at the top of the alter, so much anticipation, emotions andhappiness that you finally made it to this moment.

100%. Sposa is an amazing bridal store. There are so manyoptions, all the stylist are kind and friendly. I started at Sposa then went to other stores and you can’t compare.
